[News] Radiohead - leaked song from the 1990's

A song whose voice appears to be from the singer Thom Yorke, appeared online. This track is apparently from the 1990's, in the era of the album "Bends".

The fan site Ateaseweb.com, wrote:
"A track surfaced today with vocals sounding like Thom Yorke’s together with a Radiohead sound that could’ve been recorded in the early nineties. Think Pablo Honey, The Bends. You could go for the title: ‘How Do You Sit Still?’, although ‘Putting Ketchup in the Fridge’ has been named as the actual title of the track, but surely sounds less romantic. You’ll get slightly reminded by The Bends b-side ‘How Can You Be Sure?’."

Radiohead have also recently released two new tracks, available to listen online - "The Daily Mail" and "Staircase". They are also available for purchase at the follwing websites:
- Deezer: Link
- Amazon.co.uk: Link

Here's the leaked song from Radiohead.

[Live] Foo Fighters - Arlandria

American band reveals video of another single from the album "Light Wasting".
The music video was filmed live during the band's participation in Dave Grohl iTunes Festival in London earlier this year.

Foo Fighters are an American rock band formed by singer/guitarist Dave Grohl in 1995 in Seattle, USA. Grohl formed the group as a one-man project after the dissolution of his previous band Nirvana in 1994. Prior to the release of Foo Fighters in 1995, Grohl drafted Nate Mendel (bass), William Goldsmith (drums) (both of Sunny Day Real Estate and The Fire Theft), and Pat Smear (guitar) to complete the group. Goldsmith left during the recording of the group’s second album The Colour And The Shape (1997), soon followed by Smear. They were replaced by Taylor Hawkins and Franz Stahl, respectively, although Stahl left prior to the recording of the group’s third album, There Is Nothing Left To Lose (1999).

Chris Shiflett joined as the band’s second guitarist after the completion of There Is Nothing Left To Lose. The band released its fourth album One By One in 2002. The group followed that release with the two-disc In Your Honor (2005), which was split between acoustic songs and harder-rocking material. Foo Fighters released its sixth album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace in 2007. Over the course of the band’s career, three of its albums have won Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album, and all six have been nominated for Grammys. The band’s seventh album Wasting Light was released in 2011 and peaked at #1 in several countries.

The Boxer Rebellion - Spitting Fire (Live)

Aaaaand...i'm back once again. Sorry for the inactivity of the blog for the past few months, but now it's alive again.

The Boxer Rebellion is an alternative british band, formed in 2001 through a chance meeting at London’s 12 Bar Club between vocalist Nathan and guitarist Todd. They became housemates and began to write together. The college friends, Adam and Piers, soon completed the band, all of them sharing the same influences.

Their music is a mixture of rawkus bass-heavy grooves, alternately fragile and explosive vocals, and melodic indie/alternative sounds. So far the band have released:
-> “The Boxer Rebellion” EP (in 2003);
-> “Code Red” and “In Pursuit” (in 2004);
-> “Exits” LP (in 2005);

Thoughts

I've been away from my blog for a long, long time. So, now that i have made a song from my authorship, i decided to bring the blog back to the living again. Here is my new song, named Thoughts.

Guns N' Roses - Don't Cry (Live 1986)

This video shows you the first time of the band playing Don't Cry acoustically. The band was asked to play at the very last minute and Steven Adler was not present at the show. We can notice the indifference of the audience about the band, and the only thing that i can think is "would these fucktards still make so much noise while the band is playing if they knew what those musicians would turn into?".

Guns N’ Roses is an American hard rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1985.
They have released, so far, 6 studio albums: Appetite For Destruction (1987), G N’ R Lies (1988), Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II (1991), The Spaghetti Incident? (1993), and after 15 years and with only one member of the original lineup remaining, Chinese Democracy (2008).

The band was originally formed by Hollywood Rose members Axl Rose (vocals) and Izzy Stradlin (rhythm guitar) and L.A. Guns members Tracii Guns (lead guitar), Ole Beich (bass) and Rob Gardner (drums). Nowadays, the only original player of the band is Axl Rose.

The band’s current lineup includes Rose (lead vocals), Stinson (bass), Fortus (rhythm guitar), Thal (guitar), Pitman (synth), DJ Ashba (guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums) and Reed (keyboard and congas).

The Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition (Live)

To begin, i want to apologize for the long time with no new posts on this blog. I've been with a lot of work at university and other stuff that occupies a lot of my time.

The Temper Trap is an indie rock band, formed in 2005 in Melbourne, Australia. The band members are Dougy Mandagi (vocals, guitar), Lorenzo Sillitto (guitar, keyboards), Jonathon Aherne (bass) and Toby Dundas (drums).

The band history begins around Dougy, who was raised in a music world. He began as a portrait drawer and also sang at downtown Melbourne. Later, he met Toby at a store where he was working and found out that Toby was a great drummer and a living music encyclopedia. They started to play along. Some time later, they discovered that Jonny worked a couple of stores down. They got together, began to practice hard and gave several concerts for about an year. An old school friend of Toby’s, Lorenzo had been dancing around bands and playing guitar from the age of 12. They bonded over skateboarding, but it didn’t take the 2 teenagers long to start jamming covers and writing primitive songs in the garage. Years down the track and in another perfect twist Lorenzo’s previous band called it a day just as the other tempers second guitarist departed and the band was formed.

Band of Horses - The Funeral (Live)

Band of Horses is an alternative, indie-rock band, formed in Seattle and later moved to Charleston, South Carolina, United States.
The band was originally formed by Ben Bridwell (guitar and vocals) and Mat Brooke (guitar) in 2004 after the break-up of their previous band, Carissa’s Wierd. The band started to gain the deserved attention from Sub Pop Records after opening for Iron & Wine in Seattle area shows.
In 2005, the band released their debut EP "Band Of Horses Tour EP" which was sold exclusively at shows and on Sub Pop’s website. Their debut full-length "Everything All the Time" was recorded in 2005 with producer Phil Ek and released on March 21, 2006 to generally good reviews.
This is one of the most known songs from them, and one of my favorites.

Dead Combo

Dead Combo is an instrumental portuguese band, formed in 2003 by Tó Trips and Pedro Gonçalves. They incarnate two characters that could have come from a comic: a caretaker and a gangster. Their playing and performing style is quite peculiar. I think the better way to describe the music they make is like i read in other site:

"They play Lisbon, the city of the countryside, chimneys and white domes, sceneries of a lost past, the fado, the loiter western, all together in a voodoo of emotions, the Tagus river, misplaced lovers, abandoned angels in the crossroads of destiny, flowers with misplaced colours, saints, burning hot chambers, naked guitars, thrown on the street, double basses on fire, top hats, chickens on the loose and things that roll on the street."

In “Vol.2: Quando a Alma Não é Pequena”, Dead Combo give us also traces of tango, flamenco, the far west as seen by Ennio Morricone, the real Cuba and the one Marc Ribot sighted, the juish klezmer and the Sicilian drama.

Here is a proof that Portugal makes very good things.

Cocorosie - Beautiful Boyz (Live)

Cocorosie is a band from France, formed by two sisters, whose style is completely unique (indie-psych-folk-tronic-rock?!?). Their names are Sierra and Bianca Casady, but their mother called them Coco and Rosie (get it?).
The first album, La Maison de Mon Rêve, was not intended to become public. Only the sisters' friends knew about its existence, but somehow the album became famous and later it was released on independent label Touch and Go Records. Sierra studied operatic vocal techniques and she does the lead lead vocals. She also plays guitar, harp and flute. Bianca is a percussionist and also beatboxes. The group also uses various objects such as toys to construct their unique sound. Popular indie bands such as The XX admitted that Cocorosie is one of their major influence.

God is an Astronaut - Fragile (Live)

God is an Astronaut started as a studio project, and some years later they fortunately decided to get out and start performing live. "Fortunately" because if they didn't do it, maybe nowadays i wouldn't be aware about the existence of musics like this one. Their musics are some kind of spirit release. They're just awesome.

Pearl Jam - Better Man (cover)

This is a cover of Better Man, from Pearl Jam.
I don't know why i love this cover so much. Maybe because of this guy's voice, his accent suits just fine with the song. At some parts the sound is kind of messed up, try just to enjoy the music.

Can someone please explain to me if it's possible to transform fat into energy? i mean...GEE-ZUS, it's amazing how so much energy can be in one single body. And the self-confidence that she can transmit only with her voice is phenomenal. No surprises that this is one of my favorite bands.
