Zach Condon has not abandoned the Balkan-folk to become a mariachi, but the new clip from Beirut to Santa Fe has strong Mexican inspirations. Starting with a desert, two deaths, a hospital bill and a troubled character, so the clip fits the more playful rhythm of the song, one of the highlights of the latest album from Beirut, The Rip Tide. From its intermediate section, the clip is dominated by surreal scenes on a beach, even including a dog eating pizza.
