[News] PJ Harvey wins the Mercury Prize

Let England Shake gave the british singer her second Mercury Prize of her career. PJ became the first artist to win this prize twice. She beat the competition for the first time 10 years ago, with the album Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea.

The celebration took place in the Grosvenor Hotel, last night (6th September). All the nominees performed on stage, except for Adele who canceled due to health problems.

Before the speech thanking everyone who supported her during her career, Harvey talked about Let England Shake, saying "This album took me a long time to write, and it was important to me. I wanted to make something that was meaningful, not just to myself but to other people and hopefully to make something that would last."
