[News] Black Sabbath reunite for new album

The legendary hard rock band, Black Sabbath, is reuniting to record its first studio album with original frontman Ozzy Osbourne since 1978, and they are planing a 2012 tour.

The announcement was made during a press conference, at the Whiskey A-Go-Go in Los Angeles, where the band played its first show in the city, exactly 41 years ago. Rick rubin will produce the band's comeback album, which is expected to be released in 2012's fall through Vertigo/Universal.





According to the RIAA, the band has scored sales of 15million since the original lineup came together in 1968.
The lineup of Osbourne, Iomme, Butler and Ward released its last album in 1978 ("Never Say Die"). The dis has sold 133,000 copies in the SoundScan era.

Osbourne split with Black Sabbath in 1979 and went on to a very successful solo carreer. He rejoined the band in 1997 and toured with them through 2006.
